About
A new independent Swedish-language weekend school for children in North London will start the fist term on 12 September 2026.Gläntan (Swedish for “a forest clearing”) will offer structured yet playful Swedish language classes for children from Reception age and above, in a calm, creative, and welcoming environment.Classes will be organised into small groups based on age and language level and held on Saturday mornings, allowing children to learn in a supportive and appropriately challenging setting. Led by qualified teachers, each 80-minute session will include a short fika break - an opportunity for children to relax, connect, and enjoy a small taste of Swedish culture together.Our aim is to help children growing up in London feel confident and connected to the Swedish language and culture, while developing their Swedish in a fun, engaging, and meaningful way.
