Gläntan
Svenska för barn
About
Gläntan is a new independent Swedish language school for children in London. Our first term will begin on 12 September 2026.Named after the Swedish word for a "forest clearing," the school will offer structured yet playful Swedish-language classes for children from Reception age and above, in a calm, creative, and welcoming environment. Our Montessori-inspired approach means that children are grouped according to their Swedish language level, confidence and age, rather than age alone, allowing each child to learn and develop at a level that suits them.Led by qualified teachers, our classes take place on Saturdays during the school term. Each 80-minute session will include a short fika break – an opportunity for children to relax, connect, and enjoy a small taste of Swedish culture together. Our aim is to help children growing up in London feel confident and connected to the Swedish language and culture, while developing their Swedish in a fun, engaging, and meaningful way.
